Thrift Shop Temporary Closure
We wanted to let you know that the Thrift Shop will be temporarily closed for two weeks from February 8 - 22 for a construction project to rebuild the covered walkway and garage.
During this time staff will also complete several minor improvements inside the building which aren’t feasible during normal operations, such as repairing bookshelves, touching up paint, rearranging departments, and organizing the donation and online sales areas.
Please note:
Donation Suspension: All donations at the Shop will be paused, Thursday, February 6, until Sunday, February 23. Off-site clothing donation bins at Islander Middle School and South End QFC will close on Wednesday, February 5.
Thrift Shop Closed: The Thrift Shop will be closed for in-person shopping from February 8 through February 25.
Online Shopping Continues! Our Online Shop will remain open, with fresh restocks every Friday. Be sure to join our email list for updates! All orders will be shipped via USPS, as in-store pickup will be temporarily disabled.
All items will be shipped through USPS through February 26th. If you would like to wait to pick-up your item after February 26th - contact mits.events@mercerisland.gov
When we reopen on February 26, we’ll introduce extended donation drop-off hours and a refreshed Thrift Shop. We appreciate your patience and support during this time. We can’t wait to welcome you back soon!
