Furniture Donations

We thank you for your continuous support while we make the most of our small space in service to Mercer Island’s Youth & Family Services.

If you have a special piece in gently used or new condition in the meantime, you may contact us directly at mits.events@mercerisland.gov to see if we can make an exception for your item.

With Halloween approaching, we made the tough decision to stop accepting small furniture donations to make room for seasonal décor and costumes. We have historically accepted your end tables, barstools, headboards, wine racks and more, but our floor print can no longer accommodate these items. Our mission to help fund Youth and Family Services drives our sales strategy and is central to this decision.

Halloween has flooded the Thrift Shop, and we have shifted shelving to accommodate decorations for the holiday season. We will reevaluate accepting furniture again in the new year. If you have a special piece in gently used or new condition in the meantime, you may contact us directly at mits.events@mercerisland.gov to see if we can make an exception for your item. We apologize for this inconvenience and encourage you to identify another organization to donate your furniture to.
